It began with a clover.

In the spring of 2020, as a joke I offered a friend an original painting. I pulled old water colors out of a closet, dusted them off and began to play. While the results were unremarkable, the process was everything. Like many in the spring of 2020 I was looking for an outlet outside of myself. Painting offered me this small escape from the world. I will forever connect and be grateful for this friend and simple exchange, for it sparking the beginning of my painting journey.
I played with watercolor off and on that year and in the summer of 2021 I signed up for an oil painting class at the Corpus Christi Art Center. I was initially attracted to the thick strokes and bold colors. In that class I learn the basics of oil painting.

From this point on, if you wanted to find me, I was probably painting. Here are a few of my early works.
